This rare variety kolovi grows exclusively in the region of Plomari, on the island of Lesvos, which is why it is often affectionately called “Mytilinia.” Over centuries, the island’s unique geo-climatic conditions have shaped its texture and enriched its character.

We collect them in traditional sacks, just like our ancestors did.We begin harvesting olives in early November through early December to ensure they’re fresh, rich in aroma, and packed with polyphenols and antioxidants at their peak.

Our Story

The superior quality, transparency, and attention to every detail — from the harvest of the olives to the delivery of our olive oil to your home — are the result of a philosophy cultivated in our family for many years!

1958

The Beginning

Our grandfather Stelios opened a shop called “Afthonia”, which means abundance. He named it that way because he deeply respected the earth and nature, and he always reminded us from a young age how important it is to take care of them so they can continue to provide us with their abundance. He sold fruits, vegetables, and olive oil. The only thing that mattered to him was offering products of the highest quality, and because of this, he built a loyal and growing customer base.

1980s

Next Generation, Same Values

Our parents took over the reins of the shop, and from a young age I remember the words quality and transparency being central both at home and in the store. They also placed special emphasis on olive oil, seeking out the finest qualities — first in Crete and later in Lesvos.

2000s

Olive oil — a way of life

For us, olive oil became a way of life from the very beginning. We learned to use it not only in cooking but also in many other everyday habits. We were taught how top-quality olive oil is produced, what its characteristics are, which olives should be selected, and much more. It truly became — and still is — a genuine way of life for us.

2020s

International Recognition

We consider extra virgin olive oil so important, and we respect it so deeply, that it became our mission to build upon our parents’ work and create a product and a service that reflect this love at every single step. From the very beginning, our goal was to share this passion beyond Greece, and so far, the feedback and reviews we have received confirm that we are on the right path.

Mission & Forward

Since 2020, our exports to the United Kingdom and Germany have increased fivefold. We have managed to maintain a consistent top quality and flavor in our olive oil. In addition, we have designed a special carton that protects the container even from the heaviest impacts.We ship olive oil every 15 days from Greece so that you can receive it fresh, right after bottling. As our grandfather taught us, we respect nature so that it can provide us with abundance. We are available for communication 24/7 — from the simplest question to the biggest concern.
